#13 Trek to Talley Valley

Located 30km away from

Ziro, it offers adventure seekers

every opportunity to rejoice at

nature’s wonder. Beautiful alpine

forests and bamboo, orchid,

rhododendron and fir trees create

a visual treat unlike any other.

This paradise is home to many

plants and animals as well as

many endangered species. It

has a natural botanical garden,

which has a large variety of exotic

orchids. Also, keep an eye out for

the clouded leopard.

#14 Indulge in Traditional

Souvenirs

Arunachal with its many

major tribes and sub-tribes is a

haven for unique souvenirs to take

back home. Every tribe boasts of

traditional weaves, jewellery, cane

and bamboo wares—intricately

and painstakingly put together.

Miniature version of baskets, sling

bags, wood carvings, etc, adorning

your living rooms can be great

conversation starters.

#15 - Walk Across a Living

Root Bridge

Walking across a bridge made

from roots of trees may seem like

a dream but in Meghalaya, it is

indeed possible. You can try the

famous bridge at Mawlynnong

that is easily accessible, but if you

want to stay away from the crowd,

then find a guide to take you to

the double-decker root bridge in

Nongriat. It is quite the trek, but

we promise you that the view will

make it worthwhile.

#16 - Enjoy the Rain at

Cherrapunji

Cherrapunji may have lost the

crown of being the wettest place in

the world but it is still one of the

best places to enjoy the rain. There

are many resorts offering rooms

for reasonable rates where you can

put up for the night. The blinding

mist, wonderful drive, green

landscapes, hospitable locals, and

chill vibe make for a memorable

stay.
