#21 - Add Naga Weaves to your
Wardrobe

The State is home to many
different tribes, all of whom
wear hand-woven attires bearing
designs and colours specific to
their tribe. Like many other states
in the country, Nagaland is also
becoming a victim of fast fashion
but traditional handloom is still
being practiced by a dedicated
band of weavers. Support their
cause and indulge in a traditional
shawl or a wrap around skirt. The
weaves can get expensive, but bear
in mind that they are high quality
and last for a long time.

#22 - Try Naga Food

Naga style pork is very popular
not only in Nagaland but across
the region. You should definitely
try out the local dishes when you
are visiting. Most restaurants,
small and fancy, serve authentic
meals. And, if you love bamboo

during your visit, because they are
always fresh (unless you buy the
dry version) and super delicious.

#23 - Be Dazzled at Dzukou
Va l le y

Have you ever wondered

picturesque valleys in the region,
it is one of the most popular treks
in the whole of the Northeast.
No matter what season you make
the trek, you are sure to witness
breath-taking views. Once there,
you can camp under the stars
near the rest house and engage
in interesting conversations with
fellow trekkers around a bonfire.

Hire a guide or sign up for a travel
package for the best experience.

#24 - Visit the Kisama Heritage
Village

One trip is definitely not enough to
get to know all the tribes residing
in the State but you can take the
first step by visiting the Kisama
Heritage Village. It is home to
sixteen houses created keeping in
mind the indigenous architectural
designs and cultural elements of

the different tribes. The Village
really comes alive during the
Hornbill Festival, which is the best
time to visit Nagaland.

#25 - Cafe Hopping in
Dimapur

Most people use Dimapur as a

Khonoma but you must keep a day
or two to explore the city. One of
the best things about the city is the
growing cafe culture. The city is
