OCEAN

WAVES
The sea has always been
connected to relaxation,
whether it’s gentle waves
lapping the shore or listening
to dolphin noises! Recreate
this by wearing diff erent hues
of blue and sporting fun,
marine prints. Create a calm
horizon by wearing horizontal
stripes in block colours, or
try fl owing fabrics like silk or
chiff on in swirling, abstract
prints. A tankini is a great
choice if you prefer more
coverage than a bikini. You
can imagine the boats on the
print bobbing along on the
waves and close-up you can
see fi sh in the pattern. With
its boat neck and a ribbon tie
around the waist, the little
details in this dress make it
a special piece. Heels and a
geometric necklace create a
modern twist.

BESIDE THE SEASIDEASIDE

We all love a visit to the coast and
a Breton top is a wardrobe classic;
an eff ortless key piece worn by
everyone from movie stars to
fi shermen! Team with cropped
trousers for a stroll on the beach.
A straw boater hat is perfect for a
day in the sunshine and a stylish
disguise for windswept hair. We
love this silk clutch bag to add
some pin-up style to a little black
dress. Anchors are a symbol for a
life at sea representing safety and
hope. An anchor anklet would
look lovely worn over sandals or
a seaside theme charm bracelet
would complement the look.
The National Trust has brought
out a range of scarves including
this print inspired by vintage
deckchairs on the sea front!
