how off your beach fi nds in dramatic
style. Personalise driftwood, stones and
pebbles before combining them with
basic wirework to create individual designs.
Some experience of working with wire is
helpful for this project as each beach fi nd is
unique, and they all need to be worked in
diff erent ways. A small drill can be helpful
when working with wood.

MATERIALS & TOOLS


● (^) Round, fl at and narrow nose pliers
● (^) Cutters (or fl ush cutters)
● (^) Flat needle fi le
● (^) Dremel drill with supporting stand
● (^) 1mm drill bit and clamp
● (^) Assorted driftwood pieces, beach pebbles
and stones
● (^) Acrylic paint and glaze
● (^) Gold leaf fl akes
● (^) Gilding paste
● (^) Small paintbrush
● (^) Gold leaf sealer (such as shellac)
● (^) Gilder’s paste and soft cloth
● (^) Two-part epoxy glue
● (^) 0.4mm, 0.6mm, 0.8mm and 1mm
gold and silver-plated wire
(round, square and fl at profi les)
● (^) 5mm round, open and soldered
jumprings
● (^) 3mm and 5mm round metal beads
● (^) 8mm decorative metal beads
● (^) Assorted ready-made chain and clasps
