Radisson Hotel Kathmandu organizes CSR Initiatives


Radisson Hotel Kathmandu is
celebrating the monthof June as their
Corporate Social Responsibilities
month particularlydedicated to doing
responsible business with themes like
“Think Planet”, “Think Community”
and “Think People”. The hotel
organized “Make a Difference
Campaign” on 19 June, 2019.

“Make a difference campaign” is a
part of an initiative by Radisson Hotel
Group worldwide launched on 22
October, 2018 until 31March, 2019
where all member hotels across
the globe to participatedto donate
USD $1 per room a night to SOS
Children’s Villages. Radisson Hotel
Kathmandu donated USD $901 to
SOS Children’s Villages, Sanothimi
as a part of the campaign.

In thehandover ceremony, Mr. Kiran
Pant, HR Director of Radisson
Hotel Kathmandu,highlighted
key importance of sustainable
partnershipbetween companies
and social units to strengthen and
enhance the social well-being in
the national and international level.

Mr. Ishwari Prasad Sharma, National
Director of SOS Children’s Villages
Nepal expressed gratitude towards
the impactful initiative after
receiving the donation amount
from the hotel.

Similarly, Radisson Hotel
Kathmandu has also been providing
scholarship to students at SOS
Children’s Villages, Sanothimi.

The hotel also organized a “Support

in Special Children’s Mobility
Campaign” on 20 June with the
handover of 5 special wheelchairs to
children with permanent movement
disorders at Cerebral Palsy Nepal.

significance of the concept of giving
back to the community which
results in improving the present
condition of those in need.Mr. Bimal
Lal Shrestha, CEO, Cerebral Palsy
Nepal also expressed his joyat the
increasing trend of companies asking
to collaborate on such issues. He also
believes when more corporate houses
come up to them with willingness to
support, spreading awareness about
the condition and its treatment will
be easier.

Towards the end of the campaign,
the employees of Radisson Hotel
Kathmandu also procured handmade
floor mats, candles, bags andpost
cards made and placed on display
by the differently abled children at
Cerebral Palsy Nepal.

Radisson Hotel Kathmandu are
known globally for their responsible
business practices and has shown
continuous effort by improving the
lives of people outside the walls
of their businesses by conducting
numerous CSR activities every year.

The company encourages and
advocates on sharing resources
with less fortunate ones to unite for
common causes.

Fairfield by Mariott Hosts
Lucknowi Food Festival

Fairfield by Marriot, Kathmandu,
inaugurated their 9-day long Lucknowi Food
Festival on 14th June, 2019 with the presence
of His Excellency Mr. Manjeev Singh Puri,
Ambassador of India to Nepal.

His Excellency Mr. Manjeev Singh Puri,
Ambassador of India to Nepal inaugurated
the event along with Dr. Ajay Kumar,
Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of India
to Kathmandu along with the hotel’s owner
and Manager Mr. Sashi Kant Agarwal Mr.
Sanjeev Mandal respectively.

The festival introduced Lucknowi cuisine to
guests through collaboration with celebrity
Chef Shahnawaz Qureshi of Lucknow with
more than 20 years of culinary experience.
The cuisine of Nawabs contains varieties
of kebabs, biryanis, curries, flat breads and
much more, with delicate touch of Awadh.

The menu for the event was exclusively
crafted by Chef Shahnawaz, and will
comprise of different varieties of local
Lucknowi delicacies over the period of 9
days.

Lucknow has rich cultural and historical
background, which can be thoroughly
experienced through their food. The part of
what made the delicacies enriching were the
local spices used by Chef Shahnawaz, which
was brought in from Lucknow.

Furthermore, this endeavor of Fairfield
Kathmandu was to share that authentic
experience with the food lovers of
Kathmandu, where they can relax after the
long day; while indulging and experiencing
a culture of Lucknow.

The opening ceremony was attended by
distinguished guests, food enthusiasts and
media personnel.
