Dim Sums and Soups Festival at Akari &


Koko
Vivanta Kathmandu hosted a Dim Sums and Soups Festival
at their signature Asian restaurant, Akari & Koko from 19
June until 29 June 2019.


The motive behind this event was for the guests to enjoy a wide
range of limitless soups
consisting of vegetarian
and non-vegetarian options
that includes choices of
vegetables, chicken, lamb,
beef, pork & seafood.


A total of 23 varieties of
Dim Sums and 16 varieties
of soups were available.

Dim sum is a Chinese meal
of small plates, which translates to “touch the heart”. Lamb,
beef, pork, seafood and chicken are some of the various dim
sum that guests can choose from.


The event has now concluded.


Nava udhyamshala Haat Bazaar by
Antarprerana Pvt. Ltd
Kathmandu— The “Nava Udhyamshala Haat Bazaar” was
organized by Antarprerana Pvt. Ltd on 12th July, 2019 to
provide a platform for those that are in the ideation phase to
the growth seeking companies, to showcase their business,
receive feedbacks, meet potential investors, and potential
partners at Outdoor Adventure Central Nepal, Thamel.

Antarprerana Pvt. Ltd has been conducting a month long
incubation workshop “Nava Udhyamshala” since 2016 for

those interested in starting a business or needs guidance to
run one. This workshop helps companies to become ready
for investment.

Antarprerana invited its selected start ups from the Nava
Udhyamshala, trainings and mentorship. In total, 29
companies participated in this. The startups included Antidote
(Dress renting ), Tingo, Sursha Tech, Klin Laundry, Cocina
Mitho Chha, Space Design, Nirvan (Vegan drinks), Upcycle
Nepal , Dochha , Nuga, Dr. on call, Kayo to name a few.

Guests from various organizations such as Heifer, USAID,
Arthik Abhiyan, FoodMario, Team Venture and others had
also visited the event.

Antarprerana Pvt. Ltd is an investment management company
that aims to strengthen entrepreneurial ecosystem of Nepal
(SEEN) through promoting youth to work in Nepal (WIN).

Tourist Arrival in Nepal Increases By 24.77

According to the Nepal
Tourism Statistics-2018
released by Ministry of
Culture, Tourism and
Civil Aviation, a total of
1,163,072 tourists have
visited Nepal in the
year 2018. The number
has increased by 24.77
percent from 2017.

Male tourists accounted for 624,928 while 547,144 were
female. In 2017, 940,218 tourists visited Nepal through
both roadways and airways.

Though the number of tourists’ arrival has increased, the
duration of their stay has declined compared to previous
years.

The average stay of tourists in Nepal in 2018 was 12.4 days
against 12.6 days in 2017.

Most of the tourists visiting Nepal came for entertainment
purposes or to visit religious destinations. In 2018, 703,843
tourists arrived in Nepal for entertainment purpose while
187,612 tourists visited for religious purposes.
