I am delighted to be ableto announce the first-everHomes & GardensHouse Tours. On 10 and 11 October, we will beopening up six beautiful homes aroundFulham, London. This is an eventconcept pioneered by our sister brandLivingetc, so I have already seen howbrilliant the day is. It’s a unique chanceto discover creative schemes in personand to meet designers behind beautifulhomes. It truly brings the H&G experienceto life; I hope to see many of you there.Looking through this issue as I write, I am struckthat it is an uplifting one, full of passion, with fresh ideasand personal looks. All of the houses we show are bold intheir own way and each has been painstakingly reconfiguredby a visionary mind. An interior design practice for yourlittle black book is behind one of this month’s highlights:the Victorian home created by K&H Design (page 74).What I love about their work is the attention to detail. The spark for our decorating story (page 34) was thewealth of Indian-inspired patterns and joyful colours in thecurrent fabric and wallpaper collections. We’ve mixed blueswith greens and pinks with oranges to give schemes that arecheerful and confident. I hope it inspires whatever interiorproject you might be working on. Or at least strikes anupbeat note and raises a smile.SARAH SPITERI, EDITORIAL DIRECTORFOLLOW US ONInstagram
