The Tetra Console is built with mindful material
applications and sourcing that blends a combination
of digital with traditional fabrication methods. These
are reflected in the rugged yet precise qualities of
the table. The tabletop is handcrafted out of high-
quality salvaged New Zealand rimu. The rimu is
sourced from demolished timber-framed houses
dating back to the early 20th century, that would
otherwise have ended up in landfill. Its provenance
(location, building period & type and demolition date)
is documented with a laser etched label located on
the underside of the wooden plank.
Through marrying the traditional and the digital

material expressions and combinations,
making it a distinguishable piece
