artly hidden behind lush foliage and a row of palm trees, Barbacoa is
housed in a large rustic warehouse and serves equally
rustic Latin American dishes to match the ambient decor.
Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the interior with light while its
lofty height allows the cooling breeze to sweep the room. Dark
wooden panelling, leather seats, brass and rusted ironwork,
and decorative cement tiles complete the stylish setting. Its no
wonder Barbacoa remains a timeless looking dining destination
five years since its opening.
With an indoor, outdoor and a cosy terrace on the second
floor, Barbacoa offers flexible seating arrangements to
accommodate different occasions. Enjoy a romantic dinner for
two, or cater a private event on the terrace with a lush rice field
view to boot. The terrace has undergone a recent revamp and
is now equipped with a private bar and kitchen, making it an
ideal venue for cocktail receptions or a sit- down dinner.
Barbacoa’s menu is designed for sharing. To begin, graze
on tapas like the Fish Taco with its freshly made tortilla or crispy
Jalapeno Chilli Croquetas at the breezy terrace. The action takes
place at the open fire asado grill. Chopped coffee woods are
carefully stacked in one corner to fuel the pit as chefs slowly roast an entire
pig. The process results in one of Barbacoa’s favourite dishes, the 8 Hours
Wood Fired Asado Pork. Think crunchy pork skin and tender meat served
with a tasty chimichurri sauce. Ask for the house made Chapa Bread and
dip it into the herbaceous sauce for an extra oomph.

A bottle of red wine will make for a
handsome pairing with the tender Lamb Cutlet.
Another signature is the Whole Grilled Spring
Chicken in peppery Mexican rub, parsley and
lemon. Complement the meaty dishes with
delicious slides like Wood Fired Burnt Carrots,
Green Beans and Fried Cauliflower. As you
savour them, cleanse your palate with Equil
Sparkling Natural Mineral Water or Equil Natural
Mineral Water before moving on to the sweets.
The aptly named Dessert Tasting Plate consists
of 3 Hours Flan, White Chocolate Sandwich and
a fiery Chocolate Chilli Truffle. It is the perfect
ending to an exceptional dining experience that
is Barbacoa.
