TRAVELLERS from across the
world seeking to enjoy the
Victorian snow season will now
benefit from the Dyson Group’s
newly enhanced Alps Link, the
company announced recently.
Aimed to give “...the public easier
access to the snow this winter”,
snow-goers will have easier access
to the Mt Hotham Resort with the
Dyson Group introducing a fully
integrated booking system into
the Alps Link service, according
to Dyson.
Alps Link is a bus service running
from Bright to Omeo via Hotham,
one of the most popular snow
resorts in Victoria, it states.
Jamie Dyson, regional services
manager of the Dyson Group,
believes the introduction of an
online booking system will make
it much easier for travellers all over
the globe to utilise the service.
“We had a pretty clunky booking

method in place that made it hard
for both our customers and our
administration staff,” Dyson said.
“This new system will give
customers access to book at any
time of the day, anywhere in the
world,” he explained.
A BETTER ALTERNATIVE
Alps Link is a nice change to
the notoriously pricey snow
tourism, the company says.
Being a government-owned
bus run, the service is a much
cheaper alternative to other
options, it explains.
A family of four using Alps Link
from Bright to Mt Hotham return
(including the mandatory resort
passes) costs $85.40. The next
cheapest bus option is $224, it says.
FUTURE EXPANSION
Alps Link currently runs three days
per week during winter. The Dyson
Group is hopeful of expanding the
service to seven days per week, as
the public becomes more aware of
the great value Alps Link offers, the
company says.
ABOUT DYSONS
The Dyson Group, a family owned
and operated bus company,
has been in business since
1952, it states. Its reputation for
high standards of safety and
reliability are key factors that
have contributed to its success
and longevity as a coach and
bus company in Melbourne and
Victoria, it explains.
The Dyson Group has four
generations of experience in
quality passenger transportation
and operates more than 500 buses
and coaches while employing in
excess of 900 staff in metropolitan
Melbourne, regional Victoria and
NSW, it says.
ABOUT MT HOTHAM
Located just 4.5 hours drive from
Melbourne, Mt Hotham is the
Victorian Alps of the Great Dividing
Range. It boasts spectacular views,
its own airport and a 320 hectares
of ski terrain, it states.
Considered the ‘Powder Capital’
of Australia, Mt Hotham is the only
resort in the Southern Hemisphere
where the village is located on
top of the mountain, ensuring “...
endless awe-inspiring views and
ski-in, ski-out opportunities from
wherever you are in the village,”
it says.
Australia’s ‘highest alpine village’
has 13 chair lifts, three terrain parks
and 35km of cross country skiing
on offer.
