Go for a ride in the Red
Dragon Monster Truck!
Ever wanted to experience the thrill of being in a truck that
can crush anything and everything in its path? Well, you have
the chance to do just that at Convoy in the Park thanks to the
Red Dragon Monster Ride Truck.
The purpose-built Red Dragon Monster Ride Truck is the
only tubular-framed race-specification ride truck in Europe. It
has a 6.5-litre Chevy V8 engine, which gives additional torque
to cater for the extra weight of carrying up to 10 passengers.
Anyone can ride the truck, as long as they are more than
three feet tall.
This was a popular attraction at Convoy in the Park in
2018 and it is back again this year – make sure you take the
opportunity to get on board.Ever since Convoy in the Park began in 2017, the caravan
smash has been one of the most popular spectator events and
is a spectacle not to be missed!
If you have ever sat crawling behind a caravan on a B-road
and dreamed of all the ways you’d like to get rid of it, then
Convoy in the Park has the event for you!
On both days, two unsuspecting caravans will be strapped
to the back of the drift Daf and Scania and driven to their
destruction. Watching the caravans disintegrate in front of
your eyes makes for compulsive viewing!
The caravan smash is the climax of the drift truck
demonstration. If you look closely at the back of the trucks,
you’ll notice they have offset tow-hitches, enabling the
caravans to be mounted to the side.
“They’re old caravans that are stripped out beforehand,”
explains Stuart Oliver. “When we first did the stunt it was live
at the show, we’d never done any rehearsal. Thankfully it was
even more spectacular than we thought it would be!”Exclusive
