There is one other common failure

I would like to cover on the 1969-’
Corvette with a standard steering wheel

column, when the horn is continuously
blowing.

The turn signal lever is attached to the
steering column switch with a single screw.

If this screw becomes loose and backs out,
this can ground the horn circuit and cause

the horn to blow all of the time.
If this happens, remove the steering

wheel and hub, rotate the steering
column so that a hole in the locking plate

aligns and simply tighten the turn signal
lever screw.

Well, I hope this helps out with some of
the common Corvette horn problems, and

lets you blow your own horn. VETTE

You can replace the contact or simply
take it apart and clean it.

You can use a points file or fingernail file
to remove the corrosion off of the points
of the horn relay.

The horn button contact retainer
is susceptible to corrosion.

There is corrosion in several
pieces of the horn contact.
