If you love designer shoes, you won’t want to miss Christian
Louboutin: The Exhibition. Running from 25 February–28 July 2020
at the Palais de la Porte Dorée in Paris, the mammoth exhibition
will celebrate the creativity of the renowned footwear designer.
A large selection of the French fashion designer’s iconic red-soled
shoes will be on display, including some from his personal archive that
have never been seen before. The exhibition will also feature specially
created collaborations with director and photographer David Lynch,
New Zealand multimedia artist Lisa Reihana, British design duo
Whitaker Malem and Spanish choreographer Blanca Li.
Curated by Olivier Gabet, the exhibition will reveal the inspiration
behind Louboutin’s designs, as well as his creative processes.
“Wherever I go, there is always a garden to see, or a museum,
a church, a market, a concert, a piece of architecture,” Louboutin
says. “My main way of being inspired is to stay open-minded.
I try to go and look where others do not go.”
