Badr Al Samaa Nizwa upgraded to


multispecialty hospital


Badr Al Samaa has opened its advanced multi-specialty hospital in Nizwa.
The hospital, the first private sector hospital in Al Dakhiliya Governorate, was
inaugurated recently by HE Dr Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Saadi, governor
of Al Dakhiliyah. Dr Mazin Jawad Al-Khabouri, director general of private
health establishments, was the guest of honour at the event. Haitham Rafi,
the musical sensation of Oman, performed at event. The inaugural ceremony
was attended by Dr P A Mohammed, Dr V T Vinod and Abdul Latheef,
managing directors of Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals & Polyclinics along
with executive directors, management, dignitaries from embassies, corporate
officials, officials from insurance companies and Social organisations. The
hospital has a back-up of many strong four-wheel drive ambulances which
will be utilized to transport patients from remote and peripheral areas. Badr
Al Samaa has signed exclusive contracts with many oil and gas companies
and established clinics in Duqam, Khazzan and other areas. The hospital
will also be a referral centre for advance care for these off-shore clinics.

A’soud Global School set to
open doors in Duqm

The port town of Duqm in the Al Wusta region is all set to witness the
opening of one of its most anticipated international school projects –
the A’soud Global School (AGS) Duqm Branch – in September 2019.
AGS is among the finest international schools in Oman under the
management of English Education Management company, and is the
flagship educational facility of one of the Sultanate’s leading business
groups – Al Tamman Holding in joint venture with reputed education
group of UAE Al Najah Education. AGS Duqm will be the first school
of its kind in the Al-Wusta region, and will offer innovative Cambridge
international curriculum to pupils belonging to different nationalities in
the vicinity. In its first phase, the school will be admitting pupils from
Kindergarten (KG1) to Grade 5; in subsequent years, the school will grow
to an upper preparatory and senior school preparing pupils for the IGCSE.

All Atyab products free of
hydrogenated oils

Atyab Food Industries, one of the investments of Oman Flour Mills
Company which is a subsidiary of the Oman Investment Company, has
announced that all its products would be free from hydrogenated oils
with effect from June 15. It is first such company which has taken this
measure keeping in view the health and safety of the consumers. It has
ensured that there would be no reuse of oil in any of its food products. A
statement issued by the company said that it has always been interested in
ensuring the safety of food and bakery items as well as in all its products
the number of which is 300. It has said that it was now using best flour
of the Omani Flour Mills Company. Its products and all its production
lines are automatic and modern and are not touched by hands and its
products reach everywhere within the Sultanate of Oman and abroad.
