Vette – July 2019

(National Geographic (Little) Kids) #1

Hold the black part of the stem with a
pair of pliers and unscrew the chrome
set screw counterclockwise. You may
want to use a microfiber towel between
the stem and the pliers so the stem is not
scratched or damaged.

The most common problem I have
found is that the rivet that holds the
ground lug onto the back of the clock
becomes loose and will need to be
restaked or replaced.

With your hand, find the clock retainer
clips, push the end down and slide it off
of the clock’s attaching knob.
