How to make a weather mobile

(^7) Usingthetemplatesonp84,cutoutsuns
andraindropsfromcolouredcard.Attachthe
elementstothetwine,layeringanothersunor
raindrop on the reverse to cover the twine.
(^1) Usinga compass,drawsevenarchesontoa
pieceofthickcardboard,spacingthearches
equallytocreatethesectionsoftherainbow.The
overall height of the rainbow should be 270mm.
3 Coverbothsidesofthearcheswithcoloured
cardtocreatetherainbow.Puncha holeineach
endofthethreearches.Threadtwinethrough
each hole and secure one end with a knot.
(^2) Cutouttheentirerainbowoutline,thencut
intothreeseparatearches.Spacethearches
20mmapartthenattacha lengthofbaker’s
twine to the reverse of the arches, as shown.
(^4) Usingthetemplateonp84,cutoutsix
umbrellashapesfromcolouredcard.Scoreand
foldeachpieceinhalfthenattachthemtogether,
back to back, to create an umbrella.
(^6) Usingthetemplateonp84,cutoutfour
cloudsfromcard.Foldeachcloudinhalf,then
gluethemtogetheraroundthetwine.Repeat to
make two more clouds for the mobile.
(^8) Threadtheendsofthetwinethroughthe
loopsontheumbrellas,thensecuretheknotwith
a dabofclearglue.Addgoldjinglebellsto the
remaining lengths of twine, to finish.
(^5) Createa loopintheendofa pieceofcraft
wire,thenthreadthewirethroughtheumbrella.
Bendtheotherendintoa curvetocreatea
handle. Repeat to create three umbrellas.
