does that say about your relationship
with him?
What does it mean that Christ came for
“all,” if you feel left out? Representations
of the saints are often just as bad.
They're almost always white even, say,
St. Augustine, who hailed from North
Africa.
Images dishonour God, for they obscure his
glory. According to Charles Hodge “Idolatry
consists not only in the worship of false gods,
but also in the worship of the true God by
images.”
In line with this established fact, you did
not see any proclaimed pictorial
representation of the said black Jesus
in this Book from the author. This means
that we are not to make use of visual or
pictorial representations of the true God,
or of any person of the Trinity, for the
purposes of Christian worship.
