IX golds, including one as
part of a clean sweep of
medals, helped the Great
Britain and Northern Ireland
team to top of the table after four
days of action in Borås, Sweden.
Oliver Dustin led a brilliant
battle in the men’s 800m, pipping
team-mates Ben Pattison and
Finley McLear, while Isabelle Boffey

won the women’s race and Keely
Hodgkinson claimed bronze.
Britain’s other winners were Amy
Hunt in the 200m, Joshua Zeller
in the 110m hurdles and both
women’s relay teams.
Elsewhere there were stand-
out performances by Ukrainian
hammer thrower Myhaylo Kokhan
and high jumper Yaroslava

Mahuchikh, Sweden’s Tilde
Johansson, Spanish heptathlon star
Maria Vicente and Swiss middle-
distance runner Delia Sclabas, while
Italy’s Larisa Iapichino and Russia’s
Aksana Gataullina followed in the
footsteps of their parents Fiona
May and Rodion Gataullinto with
respective long jump and pole
vault wins.
