WR, PATRIOTS
What rookie would you choose to
build a Rookie Card collection of?
“Deebo Samuel or A.J. Brown.”
What cards of yours this week-
end have you thought were cool
or unique?
“All of them, honestly. Th ere’s not one
individual one that stands out. It’s just
the fact that I’m on these cards. I had
some of these growing up, so being on
them now is crazy to see.”
What players or teams did you
collect?
“I had a LaDainian Tomlinson card.
I had some baseball cards but can’t
remember the players.”
Did you think the college cards and collectibles was
such a big deal?
“It’s not a huge surprise to me because I know there are a lot of
really passionate college football fans out there. It’s cool the way
they have everything come together.”
What all-time player would you most want to be on a
football card with?
“I’d have to go with Larry Fitzgerald.”
What do you think it will be like catches passes from a
legend like Tom Brady?
“It’s defi nitely a blessing. I’m most excited just to learn from
him. I know he’s hard on the receivers, but
that’s something I’m looking forward to,
just holding me accountable and helping
me take my game to the next level.”
What do you like about rookie
teammate Damien Harris’s game?
“He’s really powerful. He can run
through tackles. He’s really going to help
us. Th e Patriots use multiple running
backs, so he’s really going to help us.”
Any players you’re looking forward
to playing against?
“No one in particular. I’m just ready
to prove myself. To be able to compete
against the corners, they are the best at
what they do—the best in the world. I’m
excited to see how I stack up.”
If you had to choose, would you
rather have a lot of yards or a lot of touchdowns in a game?
“I’ll take the points, help the team win.”
What players still at Arizona State should collectors
watch out for the next couple years?
“Defi nitely a lot. Frank Darby, Brandon Aiyuk, Kyle Wil-
liams. Th ere are a lot that I feel like will make it to the NFL
and have a successful career once they get here.”
What will you miss most about college football?
“Mostly the people around Arizona State. Everybody on the
team was like my brother. Th e coaches really made me feel
like they really cared about me.”
MILES SANDERS,
RB, EAGLES
Did you realize making football cards was such a
big business and the Rookie Premiere was such a big
organized event?
“Yeah it’s a big deal but I didn’t know too much about it.
But coming here and seeing how seeing works, it’s defi nitely
a big deal.”
Did you know the college market was such a big
deal?
“Yeah I think that’s important, too. I think college play-
ers should have their own cards. I saw an article about the
NCAA thinking about paying players. I think it’s about time,
because there’s no college football without the players. Espe-
cially big universities like Penn State that draw big crowds,
you can’t make that money without the players.”
What rookie would you choose to build a Rookie
Card collection of?
“Of course myself, but all the running backs in the draft.
My boy Kyler Murray.”
