Rapidly growing urban areas
affect the spaces for young
kids to play outside of their
homes. Increasing vehicular
traffi c, escalating crime rate, and
“stranger danger” all contribute
to kids’ playtime outside being
cut short. Because of this, kids
of this generation do not get to
experience playtime as previous
generations had done: climbing
trees, running through miles
of empty space, and making
nature their playground.
However, this doesn’t mean that
your child can no longer enjoy
some playtime. There are a lot
