be among the only two sub four-metre cars
in India with the option to seat seven – the
other being the Datsun Go+. Its sub four-metre
length will allow Renault to price the Triber
aggressively, and going by experience with the
Kwid, Renault is unlikely to get the pricing wrong.
Renault is also banking on the versatility of the
Triber to be a major selling point, but only time
can tell if they have a really strong product on
their hands that can turn out to be a game
changer. However, just looking at the styling
and the intelligent engineering including great
thought being paid to passenger ergonomics
and comfort, Renault could be onto a winner
here. The Triber will also expand Renault’s reach
and target a segment of the market that it has
previously not been active in. It is hoping that
this push will help it double its sales by 2022.
The Triber will also be exported globally, but the
focus for now is on cracking the Indian market.
