TOYOTA GLANZA



Glanza, which means ‘Radiance’ in
German is Toyota’s second attempt at
the hatchback segment in India, after the
Etios Liva. Essentially a rebadged Maruti
Baleno, the Glazna will be powered by the
1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine which also
powers numerous models in Maruti Suzuki’s
portfolio. However, the Glanza will be
launched only with petrol variants, with the
option of either a manual or a CVT.

LAND ROVER DISCOVERY 
The big 7-seat Discovery now gets the 2-litre
Ingenium diesel engine. The engine makes
237bhp and 500Nm of torque, sent to all four
wheels. This is also the first power plant from
Land Rover which features a sequential turbo
setup. The interior of this seven-seater SUV
includes electrically reclining seats, Intelligent
Seat Fold (seats can be folded via a smartphone
app), four-zone climate control and an optional
10-inch Touch Pro infotainment system.
The top-of-the-line HSE luxury also gets
configurable ambient interior lighting, powered
gesture tailgate and an electric sunroof, with
optional heated front and second-row seatss
also on offer.

TATA TIGOR AMT



The Tata Tigor will now get AMT, with the
addition of the XMA and the XZA+. Both have
the 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine making
84bhp and 114Nm and will offer driving
modes, reverse parking sensors, foldable rear
armrest with cup-holders and Harman-tuned
music system with Bluetooth connectivity.

VOLKSWAGEN CUP EDITION



To celebrate the Cricket World Cup,
Volkswagen India has released the special
Cup edition of the Polo, Ameo and Vento.
Though there are no mechanical changes,
the Cup edition does get new leatherette
seat covers and a chrome badge, apart from
the inclusion of alloy wheels and special Cup
edition body graphics.

HYUNDAI VENUE 
Hyundai’s first sub-four metre SUV has
been launched with a host of features
never seen before on a made in India car.
Most noteworthy is the Blue Link system
that allows owners to command a host
of features via a smartphone application
and the vehicle’s touchscreen, including
access to the climate control settings or
even sharing the vehicle’s live location, all
via the app. The Venue will be offered with
two petrol engines with either manual or
automatic transmission and and one diesel
engine with a manual transmission.
