M&M Greene team accompanied
Lewis at Truckfest Peterborough.
The company takes pride in its
trucks – “we like tarting them up,”
Mike says – and attends a range
of shows around the country,
including the events at Shepton
Mallet, Malvern, Swansea, as
well as Pembrey for the British
Truck Racing Championship.
Off to Ireland
Mike is also taking three trucks
over to the Republic of Ireland for
the Full of the Pipe Show at
Punchestown Racecourse in
County Kildare. “We’ll have a
good weekend there.”
The pride of the show-going
trucks is a fully-restored ERF
EC11 with a Cummins M
engine. The truck has been with
M&M Greene since it was bought
new in 2000 and was a working
truck until 2017 when it was
taken off the road and restored to
as-new condition inside and out.
Rileys Truck Interiors fitted out
the cab, which has an airbrushed
rear panel. The truck has since
won Best Restored in Show
awards and was on the TruckMaxx
stand at Truckfest Peterborough.
But while the ERF is pristine,
the rest of the fleet is also kept in
top condition by the drivers, who
put a lot of work into keeping
them looking their best –
especially given the hard work
they do, working regularly on
farms and transporting sand and
chippings around Wales.
