truck action on the calendar.
Convoy in the Park is back, with its
unique mix of live action and show
trucks. Here’s a preview of what’s
happening and some things to look out for...
Show trucks
More than 1000 show trucks will descend
upon Donington Park. Polished paintwork,
gleaming chrome and a festival atmosphere.
Scania trucks have their own dedicated
‘Scania Village’ parking area too, and with the
V8 engine celebrating its 50th anniversary
this year there’ll be some incredible kit on
display. There’s a full series of show and
shine awards, which will be presented on the
main stage at 4pm on Sunday.

Truck racing
The British Truck Racing Championship is as
hotly contested as ever, and the penultimate
round takes place at Donington – and this is
the big one! British truck racing began 35
years ago, right here at Donny. It’s a circuit
built perfectly for truck racing, with level
changes, blind apexes and plenty of
overtaking opportunities. There are lots of
good spectating areas too. Since the addition
of the Convoy in the Park show, this
round of the Championship has
turned into a mini-Nürburgring!
