having to live in the Sun

Springs retirement community, so

has zero interest in joining any of

the 100 or so clubs on offer. That is

until she strikes up a friendship with

Sheryl (Jacki Weaver), who

encourages her to look at life

from a different angle. The

two new allies decide to

pick up Martha’s old

cheerleading career, so

they start a pom pom

squad together, audition

and compete with other

teammates with hilarious results.

Along with new pals like Olive

(Pam Grier) and Alice (Rhea

Perlman), they prove friendships

are imperative at any age and that

it’s important to make the most of

every day. Pure fun.
