or Part 3 of our 5.0L adven-
ture, we decided to swap
over from carburetion to
fuel injection—and then add
some boost. After installation of the
TFS StreetBurner induction system,
the fuel-injected 302 produced peak
numbers of 362 hp at 5,800 rpm and
364 lb-ft of torque at 4,100 rpm. After
installation of the TorqStorm super-
charger, the peak numbers jumped to
578 hp at 6,000 rpm and 531 lb-ft of
torque at 5,500 rpm. The supercharger
improved the power output of the 302
by over 200 hp! You’ll definitely notice
the difference.
