Father-and-Son Mustangs

T

his 1967 Mustang convertible was sitting in the back
of a restoration shop that was about to close for the
day when Joe Majchrowski of West Chicago, Illinois,
spotted it while inquiring about parts for his ’65 convertible
with an inline-six and three-speed manual. It was there for
new black paint, interior, and top. Joe went home and told
his wife and kids about the car, and his wife gave him the OK
to purchase it—as long as it was an automatic so she could
drive it as well. Joe has owned the convertible for 11 years
now, keeping it mostly stock. Due to Chicago-area weather,
his driving time is limited, but he does put about 2,000
miles a year on it. His son’s 1973 convertible, seen here, is
kept at Joe’s house, and he is the car’s caretaker right now
while his son’s family responsibilities currently keep him
from driving it.

Fox-Body Obsession

T

yler Andreula of Secaucus, New Jersey, grew up
listening to his dad’s tales of fast Fords and drag
racing with his buddies back in his youth. Tyler
knew he’d have a cool Ford of his own someday, and with
the Fox Mustang being the modern muscle car of his youth,
a Fox Mustang was inevitable. Once time and finances
permitted, Tyler went on the hunt but found only broken
promises and misrepresented cars. “I had feelers out every-
where, ranging from my own friends to my father’s buddies.
I scoured Craigslist daily, often to the point that I could
describe every Mustang that was for sale in a given week,”
Tyler says. Eventually, it was his dad who found this ’93
Vibrant White 5.0L LX Sport. It is quite the time capsule,
with just over 16,000 miles on it.

Second-Time Submission

W

e have a lot of readers that own
more than one Mustang, or perhaps
they’ve upgraded from one Mus-
tang to another—maybe to that
dream fastback they’ve always
wanted. Whatever the reason,
there’s no limit on how many times you can be featured in
Reader’s Album. We simply ask that you submit a different ride
each time. In the case of Peachland, British Columbia, Canada’s
Craig Radford (who was featured in the February 2017 Reader’s
Album with his 1966 Emberglo convertible), he sold his previ-
ous Mustang to upgrade to this 1965 fast-
back he found on eBay—sight unseen—
from Michigan. It took a nerve-racking
three weeks for shipping, transport, and
the duty/tax waiting period to get the
new purchase into Canada, but once it
arrived, Craig was pleasantly surprised to
find a factory four-speed car with a date-
correct engine/trans and many dealer “Cobra” add-ons and updates
from the previous owner. Craig replaced the carpet, painted the inte-
rior, and painted and detailed the engine bay, followed by cutting/buff-
ing the paint. Lastly, he replaced the wheels and tires, exhaust, brakes,
and a few other odds and ends to make it his.
