UAE-based forest and wildlife management
company Barari Natural Resources has
invested in three Renault Trucks - one K
T6x4 and two K440 P6x6 models - selected for
their high ground clearance with an approach
angle of 32 degrees.
The K Heavy Construction Range are
equipped with 13L engines, and they off er
a capacity of 120 tons and have automated
transmission along with All Wheel Drive
(AWD) capabilities that deliver full power to
all the wheels.
Ghassan Fares, Head of Procurement at
Barari Natural Resources, said: “We have
been extremely impressed not only with the
performance of our fi rst K440 T6x4 truck
purchased in 2017, but also with the great
aftersales service of Al Masaood and the
company’s excellent long-term warranty.
These factors made Renault Trucks the
natural choice when we decided to expand our
fl eet of trucks.”

The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority
(RTA) has deployed 94 Optare medium-size
buses on 17 routes - 8 existing routes and 9
new routes - including metro link bus routes,
low-demand routes, and routes serving
residential areas which do not require the
operation of large buses.
The Optare bus can accommodate
32-seated passengers and 9 standees; 8
seats are fi tted with adjustable safety belts
and one seat is designated for people of
determination. The bus has a semi-stainless-
steel body, and the design of front wheels
creates more room for riders. The engines
are characterised by low fuel consumption
and low carbon emissions, which means less
carbon footprints in line with the European
standards. It has a low-fl oor door for the entry
of people of determination and deluxe interior
fi nishing. It has white LED destination
boards, Wi-Fi and USB charging ports.
