T

he on-road IVECO S-Way is the fi rst
vehicle in the new IVECO Way heavy
range, delivering a complete package
of features and services focused on the
driver, sustainability and advanced level of
connectivity.
The IVECO Way heavy range marks a
shift towards providing customers with an
integrated transport solution, economically
and environmentally sustainable, in which
the services around the product become more
important than the product itself.
The IVECO S-Way carries over all the ad-
vances introduced in the previous generations
and adds a new cab entirely redesigned around
the driver’s and the owner’s needs. The driver-
centric design of the new cab provides a spa-
cious environment, driving ergonomics, and a
layout that combines functionality with com-
fort. The design also addresses driver safety
with the reinforced structure (ECE R29.03 cab
crash compliant) and improved visibility.
The new design optimises aerodynamic
performance, further increasing the vehicle’s
fuel effi ciency by up to 4%. Design features
such as the multi-piece bumper reduces repair
costs as only the aff ected part needs to be
replaced in the event of damage.

on the move from their mobile device. They
can analyse its fuel consumption and the
driver’s driving style in real time in order to
identify ways to optimise the fl eet’s perfor-
mance. The on-board driving style evaluation
(DSE) system generates weekly reports that
include the vehicle’s key parameters, the
driver’s use of predictive functions, and sug-
gestions on how to improve the driving style
to optimise fuel consumption and vehicle use.
The real-time data provided by the vehicle
also enables fl eet managers to plan mainte-
nance and repair interventions effi ciently to
reduce unplanned stops and maximise the life
of the monitored components based on the
real usage of the vehicle.
The IVECO S-Way also off ers new tailored
fl eet management services enabled by its
connectivity. The new professional fuel advis-
ing service provides detailed analysis of the
vehicle’s fuel consumption and suggestions
from IVECO’s experts on ways to improve fuel
economy based on comparisons with mission-
based ideal consumption estimates. Real-time
monitoring and alerts on events that may
aff ect the vehicle’s fuel effi ciency, such as tyre
pressures, fi lter clogging and trailer further
contribute to increasing fuel savings.

The brand-new Connectivity box inside the
IVECO S-Way is linked to the Microsoft Azure
cloud-based infrastructure that enables a new
range of services, shifting from a reactive to a
proactive approach to off er predictive mainte-
nance and service planning. It puts the vehicle
in direct communication with IVECO’s
control room, providing real-time data.
IVECO specialists then monitor the vehicle
round-the-clock to maximise the vehicle’s
uptime and productivity through a proactive
approach using alerts triggered by diagnos-
tics trouble codes, the remote assistance
service tool for remote diagnostics, teleser-
vices and over-the-air software updates, with
the aim of minimising visits to the dealer’s
workshop. They also take preventative actions
triggered by fault code alerts and state-of-
health monitoring of battery, brake pads, fuel
fi lters and other consumables, so that custom-
ers are able to plan the necessary service stops
more effi ciently.
The connectivity of the IVECO S-Way also
off ers multiple features to help fl eet manag-
ers optimise their effi ciency and reduce their
TCO. They can be accessed on the MYIVECO
portal and app, enabling customers to monitor
their vehicle from their desktop computer or
