BYE CITY LIFE!
To get to this place, you can either take a
flight to Phuket or Krabi, and we decided
to go with the latter. The ride from the
airport to the pier took about 25 minutes
and the speedboat ride after took another
20 minutes. The beauty about Rayavadee
is that it’s located between three beaches
- Nam Mao, Phranang and Railay. Upon
arriving, we were greeted by warm and
friendly staff who handed us our refreshing
welcome drink. The check-in process took
only 10 minutes before we were ushered to
our Terrace Pavilion on a buggy, where we
could finally forget the hectic city life we
lead and immerse ourselves in the relaxing
aura of the place.
HIDDEN GEM
Do a Google search on Krabi and the first stream of photos that appear on your feed will comprise crystal-clear waters, green
mountains and clear blue skies. However, what’s featured here is usually not what you’d see on the mainland but on the beaches
instead. My friends and I recently had the chance to visit this province in southern Thailand and we all agree that staying in the
main town is a good idea if you aren’t craving for the calmness of nature since it’s bustling with bars, eateries and shops. In our
case, nature’s serenity was what we wanted and when we came across Rayavadee online, we felt as if we had hit the jackpot!
THE START OF OUR
HEAVENLY ADVENTURE
Located just a minute away from the resort’s
infinity pool, the double-storey space that we stayed in
comes with an outdoor lounge (where surprisingly we had
no problem waking up at 6am to do yoga). The ground
floor is well-equipped with a sofa big enough for two adults
to use as a bed, a TV and a washroom. The top floor on
the other hand features a king-size bed, blackout curtains
and a luxurious bathroom. The ambience was extremely
welcoming and we felt really good about spending time in
a resort that supports sustainable tourism practices to raise
awareness of protecting the environment.
