ALL GOOD THINGS COME TO AN END

As much as packing our bags on the final night felt a little sad,

we were overjoyed with the outcome of this trip. Not only did

we feel like princesses at Rayavadee, we were happy that we had

taken time off our daily routine to chill and bond with one another.

To end the evening, we decided to soak ourselves in the bathtub in

our respective rooms as we sipped champagne that was sent to our

villa before hitting the sack. Of course, we didn’t end up going to

bed before Googling the next hidden gem for our next escapade!

HIDDEN WONDERS

By 4pm, we made our way to the other end of the

island to Phranang beach. This is where the Grotto – an

ancient limestone cliff that sits on the edge of the beach

• is located. When we were there, we sat on the lounge
  chairs while sipping margarita as we watched people go
  by and the waves crash onto the shore. It was one of the
  most laid-back moments we wished would never end.
  If you’re looking for a place to take a break from the
  adulting game, this is definitely it!

ROM-COM VIBES

Ideally, if you plan to visit Rayavadee with your

better half, Krua Phranang will be the best place

for you to enjoy a romantic dinner just like how

you see it in the movies. However, coming here

with your BFFs can be fun too! The eatery has

a unique tree house-like setting and is located

right next to the beach. What we enjoyed most

here were the nuea yang nam jim jeaw (grilled

marinated Angus beef), yam woon sen goong sod

(spicy prawn salad with glass noodles and lemon

dressing), tom yam and pla kapong thod rad sauce

prik thai dam (crispy whole sea bass with black

peppercorn sauce). In total, we spent a good

two hours finishing our food and the delightful

house-pouring red wine. It was here that we

managed to really catch up with one another

and played a few fun rounds of charades!
