Scrub up
A common winter woe is dry, flaky skin,
which is often the result of temperature
fluctuations from the outside elements and
heated houses and offices, not to mention
the many layers winter wardrobes entail.
Sloughing off the dull top layer of skin
with the help of a body scrub will reveal
a new layer of fresh skin that soaks up the
moisture of the scrub, which often contains
rich oils to nourish and rejuvenate.
Scrubs can often become solidified
in winter so a great idea is to pop the
container in your bath or in the flow of
your running shower to allow it to soften
before applying to your skin. Scrub your
body at the same time as you condition
your hair because conditioner normally
requires around two to three minutes to
work its magic. Turn the shower off and
gently work the body scrub into your skin
in circular motions (always towards your
heart) until the scrub turns to a creamy
consistency, and then rinse off.

natural choice
If skin sensitivity is causing your complexion to
flare up, it’s wise to use a natural range designed to calm and cool,
and won’t cause any further irritation. A couple of simple additions
to your regime are a soothing and nourishing face oil, which can be
used on the body, as well as a face mask that will give your skin
some TLC without causing any further sensitivity.

Try: Goodness Organic Chia Seed Oil, $23.99;
Life Basics by Nourished Life Konjac Body
Sponge – Turmeric, $9.95; and Dr Hauschka
Hydrating Cream Mask, $99.
