All’s Fair in Love a nd Wool

Darlington Market partnered up with local artist Becky Sunter
from the Weaving Rooms to create Darlington’s rst Wool Fair.
Showcasing traditional skills to new audiences, there were also
drop-in activities for all to try felting, spinning, weaving and many
other wool crafts taught by a mix of talented specialists. Becky says
“It is fantastic that Darlington Market has helped organise this new
wool event. To have the ability to show people of Darlington what I
create and share my passion of these traditional skills alongside
other like-minded artists and experts is inspiring.” The fair took
place on Saturday 29th February to a wonderful reception. For more
information search for Darlington Wool Fair on Facebook.
