Using your Layered Peonies set

You will need

● Layered Peonies stamp

& die set

● white, pink, pale yellow

& coral cardstock

● True White Cosmic Shimmer

Detail embossing powder

● VersaMark inkpad

● Glamorous, Golden Meadow

& Summertime VersaFine

Clair inkpads

● Worn Lipstick, Fossilized

Amber & Spiced Marmalade

Ranger Distress Oxide Ink

● craft mat

● water spritzer

● heat tool

● stamp-positioning

tool (optional)

● manual die-cutting machine

Simply make

1 Lay down Distress Oxide

Ink on to a craft mat and

spritz well with water. Use

it to colour the bottom

half of two panels of white

cardstock to create a

watercolour effect, keeping

the top half free from ink.

2 Add paintbrush splatters

to both panels to enhance

the watercolour look

and set aside to dry.

3 Stamp and die-cut the

peonies on co-ordinating

panels of coloured

cardstock, using the outline

and inner shading stamps to

create a tone-on-tone effect.

4 Once the watercolour panels

are dry, trim one square

down the centre to create

the two front panels, layer

onto pale yellow cardstock

and adhere to the folds of

a gatefold card blank.

5 Trim the second panel to

measure smaller than the

inside of the card, layer onto

pale yellow cardstock and

af x in place.

6 Arrange the die-cut peonies

across the front of the card

as shown, ensure that the

central peony is adhered to

only one side of the card,

despite it overlapping the

centre fold so that the

card opens.

7 Heat-emboss a sentiment

onto black cardstock,

trim and adhere to the

card front as shown.

Adding decoration to the inside of the card

front adds to a professional  nish
