Simply make
1 Carefully place three circle
nesting dies together, use
low-tack tape to pick them
up and place them onto the
corner of a 11cm square
of watercolour cardstock.
It’s your birthday
You will need
● white 14.5cm-square
card blank
● watercolour cardstock
● black cardstock

Simply make
1 Cut a 13cm square of
watercolour cardstock,
using an octagon die, cut an
aperture into the centre of
the card.
2 Carefully place three larger
octagon layering dies
together, use low-tack tape to
pick them up and place them
over the aperture.
3 Add the embossing mat
onto the cutting plate, then
the card with dies attached,
then the embossing plate.
Run through die-cutting
machine. Carefully remove
low-tack tape to reveal
embossed areas.
4 Add Distress Oxide Ink to
a craft mat and spritz with
water. Using a piece of
acetate, pick up some ink
and add to the embossed
panel as desired. Dry with a
heat tool if necessary.
5 Using 3D foam pads, matt
and layer onto a piece of
black cardstock and adhere
onto the card front.
6 Stamp the ower onto
watercolour cardstock, colour
and place into the aperture.
Add the sentiment to nish.Repeat with circle and
octagon dies.
2 Add the embossing mat
to the cutting plate, then
the panel with the dies
attached, then to with
the embossing plate.
Run through the
die-cutting machine.
3 Carefully remove low-
tack tape to reveal the
embossed areas. Matt
and layer onto a piece of
black cardstock, leaving
narrow borders.
4 Add Distress Oxide Ink to
a glass or craft mat and
spritz with water. Using a
piece of acetate, pick up
some ink and gently ‘kiss’
the embossed card in
several areas.
5 Dry with a heat tool before
matt and layering onto
black cardstock before
securing to the card front.
6 Colour watercolour
cardstock, stamp the● Wilted Violet, Salty
Ocean & Worn Lipstick
Ranger Tim Holtz Distress
Oxide Ink

to size. Layer up onto black
cardstock and mount in placeusing 3D foam pads. Repeat
to create the owers and
