The facts
behind MTM...
■ LinkinPark were late
bloomers when it came
to using bad language on
record: Minutes To Midnight
is the first Linkin Park album
to carry a parental
advisory sticker.
■ There were
10 alternative
album artworks. The band
shared them with fans
a year after its release,
allowing them to use their
favourite on iTunes.
■ The‘sleigh bells’ you can
hear on Given Up is actually
the sound of Brad jingling a
set of keys.
■ Hands Held
High found the
band getting political
- Mike described it as
a “big middle finger to
George Bush.”
■During the album’s
sessions, the band
recorded a song called
Announcement Service
Public (later released
on the LP Underground 6
EP), which featured some
handy advice from Chester
when played backwards:
“You should brush your
teeth and you should wash
your hands.”
