In 2019 about 1.52 million candidates registered for NEET
(UG), which is 14.52 percent more than last year.
However, the absentees at the examination increased by 67%
from 4.28% to 7.15%
56.46% of Indians who appeared and 52.44% of the total
registered for NEET qualified.
Surprisingly, amongst NRIs, OCIs, PIOs and foreigners, 74%
students qualified in the exam.

Of the total students registered, 45% were male and 55%
were female. 56% of male students and 57% of female stu-
dents qualified the exam.
