- BSc Anaesthesia Technology (AT)
A
naesthesia technicians have an extensive knowledge of
anaesthesia techniques, instruments, supplies and tech-
nology as they assist in administration and monitoring of
anaesthesia during surgeries and operations. They are an
integral part of operation theatre units. They also work in
emergency departments, intensive care units (ICU) and day
surgery clinics. The ATs are involved with all aspects of a
patient’s pre-operative care.- BSc Cardio Vascular Technology (CVT)
A
Cardio Vascular Technician is given theoretical knowl-
edge and up-to-date technical training relevant to cur-
rent cardiac clinical practice. Areas in which training is pro-
vided includes various equipment for electrocardiography,
treadmill stress testing, 24-hour ambulatory ECG monitor-
ing and such. Training involves a sound knowledge of the com-
puter hardware, tools, machines, and pharmacological agents
as well as their regular maintenance. These technicians are
an important part of the cardio vascular team of any hospital.- BSc Dialysis Therapy (DIT)
A
dialysis therapist trains in wholesome renal care for
patients with chronic kidney disease including continu-
ous Renal Replacement Therapy. A dialysis technician can
set up, evaluate, operate and troubleshoot dialysis machines
and is also trained to monitor the condition of the patient,
including taking vital signs and other medical evaluation

Technology (RTT)

adiotherapy Technicians learn about human anatomy
and physiology, various types of cancers, patient care,
radiographic techniques and different radiotherapy treat-
ment techniques in addition to basic radiation physics and
the physics and technology of radiotherapy equipment. The
course includes hands-on use of the radiotherapy equip-
ment and technicians are a part of the team of radiographers,
radiation oncologists, medical physicists and nurses dealing
