urological procedures, use of equipment, Physics, Genetics,
medical electronics, allied specialties and office administra-
tion.
- B.Sc. Forensic Sciences
C
andidates study key elements of modern forensic science,
including crime scene processing, analytical techniques,
laboratory skills, human anatomy and genetics. They are fur-
ther taught to record findings and collect trace evidence from
scenes of crime or accident, analyze samples such as hair,
body fluids, glass, paint and drugs in the laboratory, applying
various techniques like DNA profiling, mass spectrometry,

A
patient’s medical history and record includes all notes by
doctors, observations and administration of drugs and
therapies, test results, x-rays, reports, etc. The maintenance
of complete and accurate medical records is a now require-
ment of health care providers and is not just for the patient
but for licensing pre-requisites of any health care provider.
Students who take this branch are taught management of
these aspects such that the records are maintained as per
laws.
- B.Sc. - Medical Sociology
T
his branch involves studying health and illness behaviour
in context to the social structure of systems which deliver
health care services. Students who pursue this course gener-
ally are sought out as counsellors as well as social support
for patients. They can be family intervention specialists,
hospice/palliative care workers, personnel specialists, public
relations officers, health project managers, coordinators of
