(Sean Pound) #1

The exterior of the three secondary
elevations of Frame House are concrete
panels dressed up by a band of vertical
ribs that align with human height and the
windows and doors. The cornice line of
the house is tilted slightly towards the
view, to balance the opposite angle at the
ground level, as the building steps down its
slope. Rough stone walls encircle the plot,
making the fresh-white house itself seem
that little bit cleaner and more refined in
juxtaposition. That reduced personality is
consistent throughout, rendering vacations
here as pure as imaginable. You really
don’t need much in paradise.
