Your little tyke at home is curious and full of energy, and
you want to direct this enthusiasm to something more productive
like, perhaps, reading. Why not make this pursuit more fun
and interactive?

With over 2,000 books to choose from, mobile app Rivet gives your
child a lot of fun stories to read every session. There are many
genres to choose from, too, such as adventure, animals, arts and
crafts, community, fiction, history, holidays, learning, non-fiction,
science, sports, and vehicles. Rivet also helps motivate your child
to develop the hobby with daily reading goals. For each milestone
they’ll pass, kids will be rewarded with badges and achievements.

If your kid is having a little trouble with certain
words, Rivet also offers reading support on every
page with just a simple tap on tricky words.
Equipped with eight reading levels, the app
allows parents to check
their child’s progress with
their reading skill.

The app’s interface is
very engaging, colorful,
and kid-friendly,
which means it won’t
overwhelm your little
one. If that’s not enough,
maybe reading books
from their favorite
YouTube vloggers—
Troom Troom, Family
Fun Pack, Eh Bee
Family, and more—
will do the trick.

When we talk about OG games that
are sure to induce nostalgia, the Atari
arcade game Paperboy is one that
comes up. Apple puts its own spin
on the 1985 hit with Warren Buffett’s
Paper Wizard. Gameplay-wise, it’s the
same as the classic platformer: all
you have to do is to toss newspapers
at doorsteps. What’s new is that this
version has been retrofitted with the
benefits of good modern technology
like 3D graphics.

The game also ties with Warren
Buffett’s humble beginnings. Did
you know that before the legendary
investor became an iconic billionaire,
he worked as a paperboy at 13
years old? The game lets you relive
Buffett’s childhood and test out
your paper-flinging skills as you
ride along the streets of Omaha,
Nebraska, and Cupertino, California
a.k.a. Apple’s hometown.

Warren Buffett’s Paper Wizard
also sets the record as the second
game Apple has developed since
Texas Hold’em, which was launched
in 2008.
