Food & Beverage, hotel and cafe professionals won’t want to miss the

first Equip&Dine Asia and SEAsia Café Expo to be held on 28-30 August

at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. Held in collaboration with EquipHotel

Paris, the trade show will focus on experiential dining by exploring how

the foodservice industry can meet the demands of consumers looking for

dining experiences that tease all their senses—not just their taste buds.

With plans to transform the exhibition space into restaurants and cafes

of the future, visitors will be taken on an entertaining multi-sensory trail

showcasing ingredients, equipment and other innovations by key industry

players. Here are some of the highlights:

CONFERENCES

While you’re here, be sure to attend one of the foodservice conferences

and masterclasses held by top chefs and industry specialists. Dangerous

Liaisons: Foodservice Now, on 29 August for instance, will see experts

discussing how foodservice sector companies can maintain a firm grasp on

trends and classic concepts while improving their bottom line and meeting

consumer demand.

COMPETITIONS

Don’t miss The Most Gracious Host Challenge, where home chefs will wow

a panel of judges with a 4-course menu for 12 guests that should hit all the

right notes on taste, presentation, service and hospitality. Another exciting

competition to look out for is the Table Dressing Challenge. Banquet and

catering operations teams will be pitting their skills against each other in a

contest to set up the most beautiful display tables within a set time.

SEASIA CAFÉ EXPO 2019

COFFEE AND GELATO CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Barista Redefined Challenge will see top baristas of the land being

judged on taste, technique, presentation and service. Meanwhile, dessert

fiends can look forward to the gelato championship organised by the

Desserts Association of Singapore.
