Located in one of the city’s most cosmopolitan
neighbourhoods, right behind the SOGO Department
Store Zhongxiao, Hotel Proverbs Taipei is a great
spot for travellers seeking a convenient location,
luxurious and stylish rooms, as well as an unrivalled
dining experience. Designed by award-winning
designer Ray Chen, the development features 42
exclusive rooms in five different styles—every room
features its own specific areas like the sofa area, the
bed area, the bathing area, etc, and all have been
styled to feel like home while still offering a stylish
sensibility. Other facilities in the development
include a landscaped pool on the rooftop, as well as
a variety of multifunctional rooms for conferences,
banquets and private get-togethers.
Apart from luxuriously outfitted rooms, the hotel
also offers an exceptional restaurant and award-
winning bar. To fill up, head to TK Seafood & Steak,

located on the first floor, offering premium seafood
and steaks. Look forward to dishes like aged beef, duck
breasts and foie gras, perfectly roasted in a Spanish
josper oven. For post-dinner drinks, be sure to check
out East End, located on the third floor. One of Asia’s
50 Best Bars—and the first hotel bar in Taiwan to
have made it on the list—Japanese cocktail master
Hidetsugu Ueno of Tokyo’s High Five is a consultant
here, visiting regularly to craft seasonal drinks with
co-founder Nick Wu. Guests can expect a unique blend
of Japanese and Taiwanese flair in the drinks such
as the Dong Gua Mojito, comprising oolong-infused
rum with winter melon, as well as the India Milk Tea,
featuring premium dark rum mixed with masala tea,
and served with homemade chocolate whipped cream.
