CURL IT
“Curls are always a favourite when
you want your hair to feel elevated,”
says Kavanagh. “Whether it’s bouncy
curls or soft, gentle waves – they
instantly make hair feel more ‘done’.”
Here’s how to make curls current.

MAKE THEM EFFORTLESS “If you
want to look polished and groomed
without looking like you’re trying too
hard, let your hair move,” explains
Kavanagh. “Get a lesson from your
hairstylist on how to blow-dry and
iron your hair into a style and shape
that suits your face, and still moves.”

LEARN THIS RULE “A general rule
is the bigger the silhouette, the more
glam the look, the narrower the
silhouette, the more ‘cool girl’ the
hair will feel,” advises Kavanagh.
KEEP ENDS STRAIGHT “When
creating modern finger waves, bend
a section of hair one way, let it set,
then bend the other way,” says
Scandizzo. “Work your way down
the section of hair before straightening
off at the very ends. Curled ends
can look too contrived.”

TAKE THIS HOME Using
breakthrough technology, the ghd
Oracle is a game changer for curls.
It’s able to create and set (thanks to in-
built cooling) endless different types
of curls. “The unique shape, styling
power of heat and the setting effect
of cooling creates a variety of curls
for all hair types,” says Kavanagh.

LUXE ACCESSORIES
From sparkling word pins and
glamour slides to pretty flower
adornments and oversized plastic
clips, hair embellishments are a
great way to upgrade your everyday
look. The key to making it cool?
Mixing and matching.

“WHETHER IT’S
SLEEK, SHINY HAIR,
PERFECTLY PARTED,
CUT BLUNT AND
CLEAN, OR SLEEK
HAIR, PULLED BACK
TIGHT FROM THE
FACE, THE KEY IS
STRENGTH AND
PERFECTION”
