a Scientific Society of Ministry of
Electronics and Information
Technology (MeitY), Government of
India. Being Research and Development
organisation, C-DAC is working in
the advanced ICT areas of High-
Performance Computing, Grid
Computing, Software Development,
Heritage Computing and Language
Computing, e-Governance and Cloud
computing, Health Informatics, Cyber
Security & Cyber Forensics and Education
& Training. C-DAC has also crafted its
practical roadmap keeping in perspective
the paradigm shift in the global
technological ecosystem and ever-
dynamic area of national ICT scenario. In
the emerging areas of advanced
computing, C-DAC has initiated mission
mode programs like Exascale Computing;
Microprocessor and Quantum
Computing; AI and Language Computing;
IoE, Dependable and Secure Computing
and GenNext Applied Computing.
Since 1993, Advanced Computing
Training School (ACTS) of C-DAC is
globally recognised as Institution to
deliver high-end ICT training
programmes and is most sought after by
the young aspiring engineers looking for
a professional career in computing,
software development, ITES and allied
domains. The PG Diploma (PGD)
Program offered by C-DAC are positioned

very high on National Skill Qualification
Framework (NSQF) under the IT and
ITES sector. C-DAC has designed,
developed and deliver very comprehensive
PGD courses in the specialised areas of
Advanced Computing, Artificial
Intelligence, Big Data Analytics, High
Performance Computing, Internet of
Things, Embedded System, VLSI Design,
Secure Advanced Software Development,
Biomedical Instrumentation and Health
Informatics, IT Infrastructure and
Systems Security, Mobile Computing and
Geo-Informatics. As a part of the National
Skill Development initiative, ACTS train
more than 6000 students per year on
PGD courses which is of 6 months (900
hours) duration, conducted in two batches
per year and offered at more than 30
centres across the country.
The curriculum is designed and
developed in consultation with the experts
from industry and academia and updated
keeping in view of the latest trends in the
IT Industry. The sessions, both theory
and lab, are delivered by the experts
working in the IT industry, which consists
of rigorous approach and practical
training along with soft skills and project
work.
C-DAC is also conducting Post Graduate
Degree awarding programme in ICT and
Electronics domain in collaboration with
leading Universities in India. C-DAC

Artificial Intelligence and Machine
Learning, Cyber-Physical Systems,
Advanced Computing and Data Science,
Embedded Systems and IoT, VLSI Design
and Embedded System Design and High-
Performance Computing with leading
universities of the country. The two years
program is divided into two parts wherein
the first year students do their academic
work in the university assisted by faculty
of the university and experts from C-DAC
and industry. In the second year, students
do their research work and dissertation
either in C-DAC labs spread at eleven
locations in the country or with premier
ICT organisations.
Among the ICT and ITES recruiters,
students of the PGD programs are a
preferred choice and having an excellent
track record of Placements year by year.
Over 300 companies in the ICT & ITES
sectors participate in National Level
Common Campus Placement (NCCP)
Program, which is being organised at five
locations; Pune, Mumbai, Bangaluru,
Hyderabad and Noida to recruit the
students from the various PGD Programs.
The NCCP is one of the most preferred
modes of recruitment by the ICT, ITES
and Electronics companies. The students
are ready to deploy on projects and start
working on real projects from the initial
period of joining the companies.
C-DAC ACTS is having a strong
alumni network spread worldwide across
premier organisations, and many of them
are successful entrepreneurs having
global operations. C-DAC is proud of
having a vibrant, global network of
alumni and forum that connects and
engages in mutually beneficial and
actionable ways.
With the help of the Ministry of
External Affairs, Government of India,
C-DAC has established the Centre of
Excellence (CoE) in ICT skill development
in more than forty countries. All these
CoEs are operating as a premier
institution in the host country in
imparting ICT skills to students,
professionals, officials and interested
aspirants.

the education system to support the
