  1. Patrick Vellner:
    A Canadian
    chiropractic
    student and
    Games runner-up
    last year, Vellner
    will again be
    chasing outright
    favourite Mat
    Fraser (see page
    100), who has
    won the Games
    three times
    in a row as an
    individual. A hard-
    fought rivalry will
    eventually result
    in one winner in
    2019, and plenty
    of action for the
    audience.

  2. Zeke Grove: In
    the 2018 workout
    requiring 30
    muscle-ups for
    time, Australian
    athlete Zeke
    Grove finished
    second overall for
    this workout, in a
    blisteringly quick
    time of 1:52.
    3. Brent Fikowski:
    Nicknamed
    “The Professor”,
    28-year-old
    Fikowski is
    renowned for his
    tactical approach
    and keen pacing.
    He’s placed
    fourth twice
    (2016 and 2018)
    and second once
    (2017), and is a
    strong contender
    for the podium
    alongside Mat
    Fraser and Patrick
    Vellner this year.
