crash and race up the sand to shore. With no
lifeguards or emergency rescue services at
remote locations such as this, it’s the
responsibility of all photographers to assess
the dangers and remember no photograph is
worth risking your life for. In recent years a
number of people have tragically died at this
location after getting knocked off their feet
and being sucked out to sea by the undertow.
When I developed my photos I could see
why I felt so deeply depressed about the
fate of the animals incarcerated in the
name of education and conservation
