milestone on the investment landscape in
Australia. Billions of dollars of super and
non-super savings are invested in the Aussie
sharemarket and our readers deserve to
know that 30% of ASX boards are women.
ACSI chief executive Louise Davidson has
pointed out that “more diverse boards make
for better governed companies, which is
intrinsically linked to long-term shareholder
value”. Separately, Rainmaker research has
consistently shown that super funds with
greater female representation on boards
and leadership teams achieve greater
returns for members.

Getting youth

on our side
I’ve been reading Money for about three
years now. I feel that your articles are
becoming more and more focused on
retirees or people aged 50-70. Please
don’t forget about the younger genera-
tions (I’m 30) when writing your articles. It
would also be good for your property arti-
cles to include other capital cities (Perth!)
and not just Melbourne and Sydney.
Tim

Ed’s note: We’re taking your feedback on
board and that will be reflected in future
editions. This month, turn to page 22 for
our interview with a 22-year-old property
investor and on page 33 we feature a
WA-based couple. We also try to include
all Australian states in our stories, from
property to electricity prices among oth-
ers. I must admit we do a lot of retirement
articles but we’ll endeavour to keep the
right balance!

Correction
In the July edition of Money, we published
the Destination column (page 30) with the
title United Kingdom. The title should have
read United Kingdom and Ireland.
