The pair announced their
separation nearly two years ago, but the
singer, 44, “wanted to see if Josh would
fight for their marriage,” explains a
source. “Seeing him with this latest girl
was the push she needed to pull the
trigger and file.” According to the
legal paperwork, Fergie is
requesting joint custody of their
son, Axl, 5, and she’ll also be
reclaiming her maiden name.
“Once the divorce is official,
she’ll get out on the dating scene
again herself,” says the source. “It’s
sad, but she’s being mature and
