Bindi and Chandler’s “safari-themed”
ceremony took place at dusk, just
after the zoo closed for the night. As
guests, including Russell Crowe,
Chris and Liam Hemsworth and their
wives, Elsa Pataky and Miley Cyrus,
arrived, “they walked past all of
Bindi’s favorite exotic animals, like
crocodiles, snakes and adorable
echidnas,” says the source, adding
that the altar was decked out with
gorgeous, colorful flowers. Equally as
stunning was Bindi, who wore a
traditional white gown. “The dress
was breathtaking,” gushes the source.
“She also wore a long veil and carried
a stunning bouquet of rustic local
blooms.”
Though the Crocodile Hunter’s
daughter initially planned to have her
younger brother, Robert, 15, walk her
down the aisle, “she got nervous in

with Robert’s blessing, “she asked
Chris [Hemsworth], who’s one of her

sweet” personalized vows, Chandler
surprised everyone with a special
tribute to Steve. “He asked for silence
as Bob Dylan’s ‘Wedding Song’
played over the loudspeakers,” says
the source, noting that the tune was
one of Bindi’s dad’s favorites. “It was
such an emotional moment. A lot of
people started to cry!”
The tears continued at the
reception when Terri, 54, gave a
speech, wishing her daughter and
new son-in-law well. “She got
choked up as she praised Steve as
an amazing husband and devoted
father, and said she hoped the
newlyweds lived to be as happy as
they’d been,” says the source, noting
that there “wasn’t a dry eye in
house” when the Oregon native
declared, “This is the happiest I’ve
